Karan Wahi was born on June 9, 1986, in Mohali, Punjab to Arun Wahi and Veena Wahi. After his birth, his family moved to New Delhi. He completed his schooling from St. Marks Senior Secondary Public School, New Delhi and one of the reasons why he enrolled in this school is because his mother, Veena Wahi, was vice-principal at that school. Karan also has an elder sister. Karan completed his higher education at the IILM Institute, Delhi University.
Karan Wahi began his career as a cricketer, representing the St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School during his school days. In 2003, he was selected for the Under 19 cricket team for Delhi along with Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. Due to a serious injury, Wahi had to leave cricket and enrolled in a marketing course to join his father’s business.

Karan Wahi began his career as a cricketer and played mainly for his school team. During one of the under-19 cricket matches, he had an injury and had to leave the cricket due to the injury. In 2004, Karan began his acting career with the television series “Rose Audio Visuals”, Remix, where he played the lead role of Ranveer Sisodia along with Shweta Gulati. His performance on the show earned him the Indian Telly Award for GR8 Best Male Newcomer.
After a break, In 2009 Wahi returned to the Hindi television serials “Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari” as the male lead opposite to Mugdha Chaphekar. He has also worked on several other shows and has worked on 28 shows so far. Some of the famous shows he has worked on include “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5”, “Kuch Toh Log Kahenge”, “Nach Baliye 5”, “Nach Baliye 6” and “Dance India Dance”. He also participated in Box Cricket League and Fear Factor: Khataron Ke Khiladi Season 8. In addition to these, he made an appearance in many other shows such as “Bigg Boss 10”, “Comedy Classes” and “Comedy Nights with Kapil”.
In 2014, Karan signed his first film with the romantic comedy “Dahabat-e-Ishq” by Habib Faisal. He was seen in a supporting role of a boy from Hyderabadi, Amjad along with Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur. Karan also signed acted in a lead role with Rhea Chakraborty; a romantic drama “Babbu Ki Jawani”, produced by Amritpal Singh Bindra. Karan won several awards, some of the awards he won include Indian Telly Award, Zee Gold Award, and Indian Television Academy Award. He is all set to hit the big screen in 2018 with Hate Story 4 along with Urvashi Rautela, Vivan Bhatena, Gulshan Grover & debutant Ihana Dhillon.
