Deepika Padukone’s father Prakash Padukone was a former badminton champion of India. Deepika herself was also a national level badminton player till the age of 16 when she given up the sports to persue fashion and modelling. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark but was raised in the indian tech city Bangalore. Her fame increased when she appeared in the highly popular KingFisher Calender in 2006.
Deepika says that she was very shy nature girl during her childhood and did not had many freinds. She has also worked as a Child Model at the age of 8 years
