Aishwarya Rai ‘s father was a army Biologist and mother Krishna Raj is a Homemaker in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The family moved to Mumbai and she studied in Arya Vidya Mandir School. She was a trained classical dancer and singer but she went on to study medicines and then enrolled herself in Rachana Sansad Academy to take up Architect. But she quit her studies in between to take up modelling as her career.
