Lata Mangeshkar who was born as Hema Mangeshkar was an Indian Music Composer and Playback Singer. She is regarded as one of the most influential singer in India. Lata Mangeshkar is rewarded with titles like “Voice of Millennium”, “Queen of Melody”, and “Nightingale of India”. Lata Mangeshkar was born in a Marathi family to Shubhamati and Deenanath Mangeshkar in Indore. HEr father changed the surname to Mangeshkar from Hardikar as they wanted to be identified by the name of their town Mangeshi in Goa. Lata Mangeshkar started working when she was just five years old at her father’s sangeet natak in marathi.
Initially it was said that she used to copy the famous singer Noor Jahan but later on she developed her own style of singing. Lata Mangeshkar became most popular after her song “Aayega Aanewala” from movie “Mahal”.
