Rakhi Sawant was born and brought up in a very conservative family. Her mother is a Gujarati while her father is Marathi. According to her interview she was a child abuse victim and she had to face various taboos like dancing at public events, standing in balcony, going to parlous. When she wast just 10 years old she worked as a caterer at Tina Ambani’s wedding. Her family never allowed her to work in the entertainment industry hence she became rebellious and approached many producers but after a chain of rejections she went for a cosmetic surgery to enhance her appearance and looks.
In year 2007 Rakhi Sawant and her boyfriend Abhishek Awasthi were the runner up of reality show Nach Baliye season 3. Rakhi’s life has always been into controversy where in she even filed an FIR on Mika Singh for kissing her. Rakhi Sawant participated in reality show Rakhi ka swayamvar where she got engaged to Elesh Parujanwala but she broke the engagement saying that she did it only for money and flat on her name.
