Ankita Lokhande was born on December 19, 1984, in Indore, India to a Maharashtrian family. Ankita’s father Shashikant Lokhande is a banker, while her mother Vandana Pandis Lokhande is a housewife and a teacher. She has a younger brother and a sister name Sooraj Lokhande and Jyoti Lokhande. Ankita is not highly educated since she was passionate about acting. After graduating from school and university, in 2005 she left Indore to Mumbai to become an actress. Ankita was a state level badminton player in her college life.
Ankita Lokhande is still single but she was dating with Sushant Singh Rajput. Though initially, she did not like Sushant but gradually both fell in love after appearing in the serial “Pavitra Rishta”. The actress rose to fame for playing the role of Archana with Sushant Singh Rajput and Hiten in that daily soap.
In 2011, Ankita participated in a dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 4’, along with Sushant Singh Rajput showed on Sony TV. In the same year, she also participated in another show ‘Comedy Circus’ with Kapil Sharma on Sony Entertainment Television.
Then the actress was featured in the suspense horror thriller “Ek Rhhi Naayka” in the role of Pragya, broadcast by Life Ok in 2013. The Indian television series became popular throughout India.
