Born on September 3, 1976, in Hyderabad (Telangana), his father is Suresh Oberoi who is also a veteran Bollywood Actor, and his mother is Yashodhara Oberoi.
Vivek did his schooling from Hyderabad Public School. He, later on, went to Mayo College, Ajmer and Mithibai College, Juhu. He attended an acting workshop in London where he was appreciated by the director of New York University. He, later, completed his Master’s degree in film acting from New York University only.
He got married to Priyanka Alva, the daughter of Karnataka minister Jeevraj Alva, on October 29, 2010. They have a son and a daughter.
Vivek’s career graph has seen both highs and lows. He made his debut in Bollywood industry with Ram Gopal Varma’s movie Company. For this movie, he bagged Filmfare Awards for Best Debut and Best supporting actor. He later worked in two action flicks Road and Dum with the same director.
His next movie was Shaad Ali’s Saathiya which was a blockbuster at the box office. He got a lot of appreciation for his role. This movie established him as an actor in Bollywood.
