Owing to bad financial conditions of her family Samantha Akkineni started taking up modelling assignments at a very young age. Soon after she started getting offers for roles in Telugu films and made her debut with Gautham Vasudev Menon’s film, Ye Maaya Chesave which helped her in getting a Filmfare award for best Debut female actress and a Nandi award. Along with this she has worked in many Tamil films and dramas.
Along with acting she also endorses products and brands and has her own NGO named Pratyusha Support which provides medical help to children and women. Samantha Akkineni donates her earning from inaugurations, product launches and endorsements to support the NGO. Currently she has said no to 200 crore Alimony from her husband Chaitanya.
