Tendulkar did his schooling from Sharadashram Vidyamandir High School at Dadar. He studied 10th standard only and didn’t study further.
He started his cricket career at the age of eleven only. His half-brother named Ajit has introduced cricket to Sachin Tendulkar for controlling his bullying behavior. Ajit is the person who introduced him to Ramakant Achreka, a famous cricket coach and he impressed by his talent after observed him from behind a tree. He gets admitted to Achrekar’s academy to train.
Tendulkar made his domestic debut in the First Class Cricket Tournament played in December 1988. He scored 100 not out against Gujarat and became the youngest Indian to score a century in debut match. He later then made a century in the first debut matches of Deoghar and Duleep Trophies.
He became the 8th highest run-scorer after scoring 583 runs in the 1988-89 Ranji Trophy playing for Bombay. He then scores a century in the Irani Trophy for the 1989-90 season played for India and against Delhi. He became the only cricketer to make a century in debut match of all domestic tournaments.
He made his Test debut on 15th November 1989 against Pakistan while he played his last Test on 14th November 2013 against West Indies. He made his ODI debut on 18th December 1989 against Pakistan and played the last ODI with the same team on 18th March 2012. He played only one T20 International Match on 1st December 2006 against South Africa.
