Early Life

He was born on 30th April 1987 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. His father’s name is Gurunath Sharma and this mother’s name is Purnima. His father worked as a storehouse employee and has received very less salary. Rohit has spent all of his childhood in the small town called Borivali and has grown up with his grandfather and brother of his father. He used to visit his father during weekends. He took care of this father after his father lost the job.

In 1999, he got enrolled in the cricket camp as he saw immense talent in this boy and love for cricket. The coach Dinesh identified the talent in the boy and asked him to join the Swami Vivekananda International School to give him regular coaching. As Rohit, could not afford to pay the school fee of this school, so Dinesh got him four year long scholarship.
