Jethmalani took birth on 14 September 1923 and took his last breath on 8 September 2019 at an age of 95 years. Parbati Boolchand and Boolchand Gurmukhdas Jethmalani were blessed with Ram Jethmalani as their child.
Until India was parted, he lives in Shikarpur which was his hometown. Shikarpur was in the Sindh located in the Presidency of Bombay, which is now a division of Pakistan.
After the partition, he had to shift to Mumbai. When shifted to Mumbai, he was a refugee and relived his life freshly along with his passion for his career. During 2017, he confessed his retirement status from the judicial fraternity.

Jethmalani got married to Durga (his first wife) as per the Indian traditions when he was 18-years-old.
In 1947, before the partition was about to happen, he got married to Ratna Shahani (his second wife). In his family, there includes his two wives and four of his children by both the wives.
With Durga, he has three children, Shobha, Mahesh, and Rani. With Ratna, he had one child, Janak. Mahesh and Rani, both have adopted a lawyer’s professional and been working in the supreme court.
Also, Mahesh has some political interest which is seen by his second professional as a “BJP leader.” Rani is also practiced as a “social activist.”
