During the 2002 riots in Gujarat his home got destroyed and his mother died of suicide. His father then shifted to Mumbai with family in 2007. Munawar Faruqui is very popular for his Youtube videos like Aurat, Ghost story, Dawood, and Doctor and Engineer. Fascinated by stand up comedy Munawar Faruqui started going for open mics. He took up comedy as a full time profession.
Munawar Faruqui performed his first show named “Dodh Dahyo” a Gujarati show in Malad Mumbai. He also started uploading videos on his Youtube Channel and started gaining huge popularity. Munawar made a video on Politics in India which was his breakthrough video.
