Irrfan Khan is regarded as one of the finest actor in Indian cinema. He was primarily known for his skilled acting and dialogue speaking art. In a career span of three decades he has appeared in almost hundred Bollywood films and also soe international productions and Hollywood movies. Hence Irrfan Khan was a well known face of Indian cinema and also to the global audience. For his immense contribution to the industry he has received many awards including Filmfare awards, some International honors, and also a Padma Shri in 2011. Irrfan Khan belonged to a royal family from his mother’s side and his father was also a rich Zamindar and wanted him to join his business. During his childhood he was a shy person and his teachers would always complain about him that his voice was never audible. As per reports he has faced a lot of rejections during his teenage and even used to repair air conditioners.
Irrfan Khan met his love Sutapa Sikdar in NSD where they both studied in the same class. Sutapa Sikdar belongs to a Hindu Brahmin family. He changed spelling of his name from Irfan to Irrfan just because he used to like the sound of that extra “R” in his name. Irrfan Khan ‘s one dream was to gift a suitcase full of money to his mom.
His acting for films like Pan Singh Tomar and Lunch Box was acclaimed by many and audiences loved his performance. Irrfan was the first Bollywood actor to get the Academy award for two films – Life of a Pi and Slumdog Millionaire.
