Mayanti Langer was born on February 8, 1985 (34 years old as of 2019) in Delhi, India to Sanjiv Langer and Mrs. Preminda Langer. Lt. General Rajinder Nath Batra and Mrs. Priyo Batra are her grandparents. Mayanti Langer spent most of her childhood in the United States where she was raised in a strict atmosphere as her father was a Lt. General in the Indian Army while her mother is a renowned school teacher. Her father Sanjiv Langer has worked with the United Nation (UN).
Mayanti Langer attended Hindu College, University of Delhi and successfully completed her B.A (Hons). Since childhood, she loved to play football and played it at the school level and also trained at the Super Soccer Academy, Delhi. Afterward, she aspired to be a Graphic Designer but after an experiment as a sports anchor at the “FIFA Beach Football”, Mayanti decided to be an anchor.
Mayanti Langer first met Stuart Binny at the sports event in early 2012, and after dating around 6 months, In 2012 the couple got married. Mayanti is 4 months older than her husband. The couple is blessed with one child. Stuart Binny is the son of Roger Binny who was a former Indian cricketer. Mayanti Langer was offered as a host and associate producer position for Football Cafe by Zee Sports after the successful broadcast at the “FIFA Beach Football”. Mayanti then worked for several football shows on the Zee Network doing commentary and interviews during pre-match, mid-game, and post-match shows. Then, Mayanti worked as an anchor for the ‘Nehru Cup Football Tournament’ which was organized in New Delhi at the Ambedkar Stadium. She also worked as an anchor for the Indian Cricket League broadcasted on the Zee Sports.
Later on, after successfully anchoring many sports shows, she joined as an anchor of ESPN’s ‘2010 FIFA World Cup’ broadcast team where she provided pre-match, and post-match analysis of the world football competition. Then, In 2010 she co-hosted the commonwealth games with Charu Sharma. Mayanti and Charu were appreciated by millions for anchoring the famous competition held in Delhi.
Mayanti then hosted the World Cup Cricket 2011 held in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
