Twinkle Khanna born to affluent Bollywood family like her mother Dimple Kapadia was a great actress of her time and her father Rajesh Khanna was a superstar of 90s. twinkle Khanna is a columnist, interior designer, author and actress. She made her acting debut with film Barsaat. She continued to act after her debut till 2000 but later she quit acting. She even started producing movies like Patiala house, Khiladi 786 and Thank you. She also wrote books like Mrs Funnybones and The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad which sold over lakhs of copies. She then produced film Padman with R. Balki.
Twinkle Khanna has been awarded with a few awards during her acting career one of which is Filmfare award for best actress in her debut film Barsaat. She has also worked opposite Akshay Kumar(her husband) in films like Julmi and International Khiladi. She also worked in a Tamil film named Seenu. in 2000 Femina Miss India she was a part of judges panel.
After Twinkle Khanna met Akshay Kumar and got married to him in 2001 she left her acting career stating that she does not enjoy acting anymore. Her last film was All the Best with Feroze Khan. In 2002 Twinkle Khanna opened her own interior designing store in Mumbai and she has designing for many celebrities including Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, Rani Mukherji, Poonam Bajaj Studio, and Reema Sen’s home. She has also designed a golden toilet for her client.
